Sax Zim Bog Area Minnesota

Sometimes less than perfect weather but we got most of the expected birds. There was a hard freeze before our arrival so the gulls were not in their usual spots in Duluth. The morning that we left to see the Varied Thrush in Aitken it was 33 degrees below zero. The target bird was Great Gray Owl and we had at least 3 individuals. I added Black-backed Woodpecker & N. Goshawk to my photo list.

Great pictures of the trip Ron, real fine work considering the temperature was hovering at or below zero for most of these shots.
