My 9 yr old niece was staying with us for the long Easter weekend so we took her to Hever Castle for the day. The weather deteriorated and we had to curtail our visit, but Grace enjoyed it and impressed us with her accurate knowledge of Henry VIII's many wives. Hever was of course the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, who lost her head (literally) to Henry. I liked this view of the portcullis - looks like it's about to come down doesn't it ?!
