- Succulent Scrub that has a warm to hot climate year round but little rainfall
- Thermophilous scrub with a warm climate year round but more rain and mist year round
- Laurel cloud forest with cool temperatures in winter and an overall high humidity and more rain year round.
- Canary Pine forest with colder winters and dryer than the laurel zone.
- Crater Rim and peaks of the volcano. Absence of trees, the arid environment and cold winters
