Erica arborea

The tree heather is an important shrub in the moist uplands of the Macronesian islands as it is one of the first emerging shrubs after land is cleared (fire, landslide etc) and collects the water from the clouds therefore watering you young laurel tree that will slowly turn the area into laurel forest.
