St. Leon-sur-Vezere

Sept. 12 we vacated Villa Gailalrdou. My friends drove off to Switzerland.
In a horrific storm (thunder, lightning, heavy rain), I drove north,
stopping for lunch at a charming, dreamy town, in a curve in the Vezere river:
a cluster of honey-colored old houses joined by small alley ways.

Church dates from 12th c., built on gallo-roman foundations.
In the village Is the Renaissance Chateau-de-Clerans, built on the site of a 12th c. mansion.
