The Umpqua River Lighthouse at Night

A light fog is illuminated by the sequence of two white and one red flashes that guide Mariners towards the mouth
of the Umpqua River and into Port at Winchester Bay, Oregon.

The Giant Fresnel Lens that sits atop this lighthouse is 6' in diameter, 10' high and weighs in at 2 tons. Hand cut
in Paris, France in 1890, this First-Order lens has 616 prisms and the projected light can be seen as far as 19 miles seaward.

Nikon D70 ,18mm-70mm, f/3.5-f/4.5

That's one of the best shots ever of that lighthouse, Roger. Do you live in Oregon? I do!
