The ship spent 2 days in Lima, Peru.
We went on an evening tour that ended with dinner at the Casa Aliaga adjacent to Lima’s Plaza Mayor.
Casa Aliaga was initially constructed in 1535 and has been occupied since then by the same family.
It now features a restaurant, serving traditional Peruvian food that caters to tour groups.
The next day we were scheduled to go back to the Plaza Mayor for some photographs
of the old buildings. We encountered serious demonstrations with lots
of road blocks, and police using clubs. We quickly headed back to the ship.
