Aalesund, Norway

Aalesund, Norway is a sea port supporting the oil industry and fishing.  The town is noted for its unique

concentration of Art Nouveau architecture.  We visited the Sunnmøre Museum, a folklore open-air

museum a short drive out of the city.  We took in the view of the city and surrounding islands from the

Fjellstua vantage point, and finally walked through the town center and along the Brosundet canal
