The Praktica BCA replaced the B100 as the full automatic SLR made in Dresden. Its viewfinder was upgraded with green LED's instead of a nervous needle, although the latter provided more information. This 1988- built BCA shows the Roman numerals for auto exposure correction and the plastic rewind crank, replacing the metal example. The last years of the GDR resulted in shortages of all kind at VEB Pentacon. Sometimes, production was ceased for a couple of days, awaiting much-needed parts.
