The BC1 replaced the B200 around 1984. In fact it was a B200 with some small improvements, like the memory lock, remembering a previous setting. Also, there were improved flash settings available. The new leatherette is clearly shown on this 1986- BC1, fitted with the splendid 28mm 1:2.8. Like the B200, the BC1 was the best East Germany could provide at the time. This particular one is still fitted with the metal rewind crank and exposure compensation. From approximately 1987 onwards, plastics were used.
