TF-104G (1)3028 was delivered to the THK (under MAP) in 1963, to serve with 4AJU at Murted, alongside F-86E's of 141Filo. The Starfighter played an important role within THK for 30 years. Hundreds of second-hand F-104's found their way to Turkey, making it possible for the original delivered survivors to be retired. This 3028/9-028 is pictured in the markings of 9AJU (Balikesir) and was last noted active in 1987. Two years later, it was seen stored at Eskisehir, awaiting the scrapman.
