Babimost

Nice composition of An-2 4719 (c/n 1G147-19) of 23LESz (Deblin-Irena) visiting Babimost to drop off a pilot for a flight in a SBLim-2M from Babimost to Deblin the same day. The An-2 was still used by the modern Polish air force until December 16th, 2012, when 0852, the last one, retired from service.

This is an amazing plane with a nick name Anuska. Named after Antonov, one of the great Russian planes designers. I have seen Anuska in the USA and recently in the Polish Air Museum, in Krakow. The plane is HUGE for a tail dragger. You can easily identify it with its big engine and outward extended cockpit windows. Thanks for sharing V
