The MiG-29 entered Polish service in 1989, with the first examples delivered to 1PLM at Minsk-Mazowiecki. In 2002, MiG-29UB 64 was pictured at this base, serving with the re-named 1ELT. Both this unit and the Fulcrum-unit at Lask will probably retire their hardware around 2012. MiG-29UB 64 already is withdrawn from use, serving as an instructional airframe at Deblin from 2008 onwards.
