Maybe now a Thunderstreak should be considered national military heritage, but a quarter of a century ago, it was just a useless old airframe. Evidence of that is this parked F-84F FU-105, seen as a decoy at Brustem in 1987. The broken canopy probably didn't have a good effect on the inside of the cockpit after several years out in the open. The Republic F-84F served with the BLu between 1955 and 1972, with no less than 197 airframes being delivered through the Netherlands (Avio Diepen). 180 of these were received under MDAP, the Mutual Defence Assistance Program.
