A nice angle of C-130H G-988 during a touch and go at Gilze-Rijen. Two 'short' C-130H's were acquired from the US Navy, being this G-988 and former EC-130Q 160608, which will become G-781 as a C-130H. A third EC-130Q is a spare source (ex-159469, c/n 4781). All three US Navy C-130's were retired to the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona, in 1991, and were sold off in 1997 which moved them into the Dross Metals Inc/ARM yard in Tucson, Arizona, adjacent to AMARC. Refurbishment started in 2005 and the two aircraft are fully up-to-date (with glass cockpits, etc.).
