On September 25th, 1996, DC-3C PH-DDA crashed due to two technical problems, killing 32 people on board. In 1989, it was seen overshooting runway 28 at Gilze-Rijen. PH-DDA was the former D-02 of the Finnish Air Force, but is started its carreer with the US Army Air Force as C-47A-70DL 42-100646, being built by Douglas California in 1943. It's always a shame when such a beauty crashes, especially when so many lives are lost.
