Times long gone, before the several budget cuts of the last decennia, the world was devided in good and bad. We were the good guys and had many friends. To celebrate this, HMS Ark Royal visited Rotterdam on March 20th, 1988. Sea Harrier FRS.1 XZ451 (no batch, but 801 sqdn) was present. Delivered as the first Sea Harrier in June 1979, three kills were claimed by XZ451 over the Falklands Islands in 1982 (a Pucara, Hercules and Canberra). XZ451 crashed on December 1st, 1989, near Sardinia. The pilot could eject safely.
