Ameland is one of the so called 'Wadden' islands in the north of Holland
It is situated between the northsea to the north and the Waddenzee in the south.
Although very popular with (also) foreign tourists it still is a quiet and relaxed place to stay
Especially the enormous beaches on the north sea give you a fine feeling of wideness and openness
