Alex's White 93 Iroc R/T, - S O L D - , In Toronto Ontario, Canada

This beautiful Chrysler Daytona Iroc R/T is located in Toronto Ontario, Canada - S O L D - A true collector’s piece for the Chrysler/Dodge/Mopar collector or anyone looking for a practically brand new sports coupe (rear hatch). Guaranteed last of its kind in North America, a 1993 Chrysler Daytona IROC R/T Turbo. This car is very very clean and practically brand new with only 10,380 original kms on it! Yes not a miss-print only 10,380kms (10,307kms at time of photos). The car is super clean, virtually brand new, 100% all original (with the exception of the battery which was just replaced) and in 99.9% perfect condition, no stone chips on the bumper, or hood, no dents, marks or scratches, windshield is perfect, paint is 100% shiny and defect free including rear plastic spoiler, interior is 100% new and perfect, still featuring the original Good Year Eagle's ZR55 tires (with 95% tread), wheel weights haven’t been moved yet and the balance is still perfect, full perforated leather interior with 20 way power drivers seat featuring a 2.2L Dual Cam, 16 Valve Mutli-Port Fuel Injected 4 cylinder Intercooled Turbo Engine, 5 speed manual transmission, electronic bolster and air cushion control, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Air Conditioning, ABS Brakes, Cruise Control, Drivers Side Air Bag, Fog Lamps, Power Remote Mirrors, AM-FM Stereo Cassette with Infinity 6 Speaker Sound, rear hatch with folding rear seats, tonneu cover (perfect condition). Without a doubt, no one has ever sat in the rear seats, the interior still has the plastic new car scent, and the cigarette lighter has never been used. Also included is the original bill of sale, two sets of keys, never used leather dealer key ring, original touch up paint, manuals as new, factory brochure, professional appraisal when we took possession for $17,000 with only 628kms from the second owner (a retired collector with 15 Chryslers & Dodges in his private collection) the car has been seasonally professionally stored, only Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil Used since new and only driven on the nicest of days. This car makes for a perfect daily driver with excellent performance, fuel economy and reliability or for the enthusiast. Was $30,000 new (quite a bit of money back in ’93) and is still virtually new! Also included is a current ownership and registration history, UCDA accident reporting system – much more reliable than Carfax/Carproof and Nationwide registration search. A bit of history - back in 1992 Chrysler purchased the IROC (International Race Of Champions) icon from GM which discontinued production of the Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z in 1991. At the time, Chrysler/Dodge only had the Daytona as their front line “Sports Coupe”, they couldn’t use the Dodge Stealth, Plymouth Laser or Eagle Talon since it was their Mitsubishi/Diamond Star Motors Japanesse venture and the IROC class was originally stictly a North American series (though today it encompasses most of the manufacturers). With secured interest in Lotus (via Lee Iacocca’s vision for Chrysler – President & CEO of Chrysler at the time) sought out Lotus engineers to develop a “motor plant” worthy of a performance pace car for the series. At the time Chrysler had available only a 4 cylinder 2.5L 100HP base engine, a 4 cylinder 2.5L 150HP Turbo, a 3.0L V6 featuring 141HP and a 2.2L 174HP Shelby tuned turbo engine available for the Daytona. In comparison the 5.7L Tuned Port Injection V8 GM boasted 240HP and had a 0-60 time of 6.3, 14.4 sec ¼ mile and a top speed of 145mph . So the handy Lotus engineers turned over their version of the 2.2L Dual Cam, 16 Valve, Multi-Port fuel Injected High Pressure T-5 Turbo (Turbo III) found in the 1991 Lotus Esprit Turbo and this made for an impressive de-tuned 224HP with a 0-60 time of 5.9 sec, 13.8 sec ¼ mile and a governed top speed of 160mph, that which surpassed GM’s V8. Only a limited series were made in 1992 and 1993 featuring the Lotus based power plant, less than 500 though 800 were expected, less than 100 featuring white body and wheels, see: http://www.modified.com/features/0407_sccp_1992_dodge_daytona_iroc_rt/index.html
