This photo was taken at the O'Connell Bridge in Dublin, very likely by the well-known street photographer, Arthur Fields. Known as the "Man on the Bridge," Fields spent fifty years at that location and took millions of photographs of people as they passed by. He would then give his subjects a ticket number so they could later purchase the photos if they chose to. Many photos of the Griffins during the postwar years were taken by such street photographers.
