At the edge of the Agora sits this little 11th century Orthodox church, built atop the ruins of a 2nd century AD Roman temple. It is the only post-Roman structure that was permitted to remain in the Agora once the excavations started; all other structures were torn down. Inside, the walls show portions of 11th century murals discovered underneath the modern plaster.
