Red-tailed Hawk - (Buteo jamaicensis) - Buse à queue rousse

Ottawa is lucky to have it's own version of New York's "Pale Male". This gorgeous female Red-tail was hatched in the Spring of 2011, and she has made her home in Ottawa as an urban hawk since. She is not spooked by people or cars (as long as they don't move quickly). Hopefully we will have the pleasure of watching her raise a family and live in Ottawa for many years to come.
