2. I'll Have The Fish

Great Blue Heron

"I’ll have the lunch special, Yellow Shiner Perch marinated in sea salt."
This head on shot shows the Perch well but the Heron sure takes on an interesting look.
The Shiner Perch prefers calm water and are quite often seen around the pilings of wharves and piers.
Yellow shiners feed primarily on zooplankton. Shiners are eaten by other fish, marine mammals, and
birds of course. They can grow up to 8ins. in length.

Absolument superbe. C’est fantastique de l’avoir photographié avec son poisson à peine pêché.

Great shot of the heron and prey, and I agree that it gives a very interesting view of the heron. V.

A fantastic shot with details to spare. Love the head-on view and crisp view of the unfortunate fish. So well done!

Nice capture. I witnessed a garter snake eating an American toad the other day. I hope when animals fall prey to another they do not suffer.

What an amazing shot! I feel sorry for the beautiful little fish, but glad the heron has food. V
