Selective Vision

On one side, we would all love to see society and its economy open up and
return to normal. The economic damage from COVID, many would argue, is
as devastating as the health effects on the population.

On the other side, the SARS CoV2 virus is relentless in its virulency and any
miscalculation or misstep in taking it lightly would result in exponential spread
and unmanageable dire consequences.

I hope we can find a balance and see the forest for the trees as we move forward.

Not easy to see a clear vision at this point - \I have trouble seeing a positive outcome from the mess (throwing the US politics into the pot) :( V

A trade-off is acknowledged between saving lives and saving the economy.....ultimately the future depends on how governments and society respond to this pandemic.

Great image to illustrate your point. I don't think it is an either/or situation. Without containing the virus spread there can be no returning to anything like normal. That was evident this week in CA as the Governor mandated that all public, private or charter schools in counties on the Watch List will not be opened for in-person classes until they can better contain the virus and are off the Watch List for 14 consecutive days.

Yes, there is a need to balance the economy and covid precautions. But the anti-science people with their parties and anti-mask protests are really a problem.
Elaine: "I will never understand people."
Jerry: "They're the worst!"

I don't see us moving forward when some still say it's a hoax with the rate of Convid-19 still rising.
Doom and gloom, Neil

A nice shot to make your point. I hope we can find a balance too. It would help if we had effective political leadership and a more disciplined population.

An eye catching image accompanied by very wise words. I hope we are able to maintain and improve what has been achieved here to this point.

We need a vaccine and as long as we don’t have an effective one we need to stay at home, no parties, no irresponsible behavior. I hope we are able to find a balance between head and heart. Thank you for your inspiring gallery and wise words. Oh and excellent photos to accompany your messages. V

a toughie to bring into focus...we seem to have the balance correct here, for the moment, but skewing efforts either way off that cautious path is not working out well in many locations..

it´s a difficult situation. Hope we could find a solution as soon as possible.V

I hope we can, too, but I'm not so sure that can be accomplished here. Great capture and title, though! V.
