These chairs are not made by some of the hand-made techniques typically indicated as "Hand Made" today. Power tools were utilized wherever possible.
We use all hardwoods, not some of the more traditional softwoods, so that the chairs present a beautiful natural wood appearance. We do not use Milk Paint, other kinds of paint, or stains. Rather we use many coats of "wipe-on" varnish.
We think the Curly Maple and Walnut version is the epitome of a beautiful rendition of the timeless Continuous Arm Windsor Chair.
