The sign on the front of the restaurant where the group ate lunch. This restaurant had caught my
attention even before I ate there because it had an elaborate window display. I think the display
had a lamb in it to match the sign along with a feast of plastic food. I am not sure why I don’t
have a photo of the display. The lighting or angle must have been bad.
During lunch I ate “trucha” or trout for the first time. In Spain, when you order trucha it means
you get the entire fish fried and on your plate. It was a challenge to eat before I came up with a
good pattern. The fish is served with two slices cut in the bottom. You lift up the scales on one
side and eat all of the meat out until you reach the bones, then you flip the fish over and eat all of the meat off the other side. You use a fork and knife of course.
