How can I sleep
with your dark tresses
wrapped around my heart.

How can I think
when silver threads of gossamer
bind me in your web.

How do I stop
these pre-dawn crystal dew-drops
spilling out in rivers from my eyes.

How not to love
each tiny atom
spinning in your endless worlds.

How could I cross the threshold
when all the veils were thin
without you calling from inside the caverns of my heart.
