Masjed-e Jameh, Yazd


This stunning and unique mosque was built in the 12th-century and rebuilt again between 1324 and 1365.

It is one of the most instantly recognisable buildings, with its two minarets the tallest in Iran, and its exquisite blue tile work.

The mosque is featured on the Iranian 200 Rials Bank note.
