Thankfully, our house (on the left in the third image) sustained only some melted vinyl siding on the dormer opposite these flames, and possibly some baked shingles. I don't think the mimosa tree is ever going to be the same, however!

That is way too close for comfort. We can see how easily it could have spread to your house. Suggestion: Inspect your roof, gutters, flashing as well as the siding. I am glad it was not too painful for you.
