UP 844 West

Pratt, Kansas

Under an overcast sky Union Pacific 4-8-4 steam locomotive #844 pulls its train across 20th Street. The following day the train continued its journey to Guymon, Oklahoma, to participate in that community's Pioneer Days celebration.

Gotta Love Steam Trains! My best memories as a child - running to a vantage point to see the Garrett articulated engine come steaming through my small town. This is the only picture I could find of it. Cheers, Colin
