2008 Our Rose Garden, Idyllwild, CA

The very first subject I shot with the Nikon
Coolpix S700 point-n-shoot camera. This rose
was spectacular, and made even more so with
additive focusing and other post-production
work in Photoshop. The image was shot right
after a Spring Rain.

The final print, on canvas,
takes on a painterly quality.
