華清池是唐明皇與妃嬪的行宮，宮殿內亭台樓閣，雕樑畫棟，盡顯侈華氣派。

唐代詩人白居易《長悵歌》中的名包「春寒賜浴華清池，溫泉水滑洗凝脂」描述楊貴紀出浴的情景，為華清池添一段膾炙人口的佳話。

此外，位於華清池左邊城門的五間廳，便是西安事變發生的地方。
這裡展示了當時蔣介石的睡房、辦公室等；最特別的是廳堂的外牆上，仍留下了相傳是西安事變發生時的彈孔。


Huanqing Chi (hot springs) are situated at the foot of Li Mountain and have been popular with Xian's visitors for almost a thousand years.
Throughout the year the spring waters remain a pleasant 43°C.

The hot springs had their hey day during the Tang dynasty (618-907) and
they are particularly associated with the Tang dynasty emperor Xuanzong and his famous concubine Yang Guifei.
