Their parents were George Washington Allen and Fannie Hancock. The Hancock line can be traced back through the Hancock, Goddard, D'Oyly, Cope, Spencer, Throckmorton,and Montgomery families as well as the de Poynings, de Welles, de Mowbray, Segrave, and Plantagenet familes of England. Their grandparents were Levi Allen and Roxanna Geer. The Allen line is said to include General Ethan Allen (probably as a cousin), but I have not been able to establish that connection, since I have not been able to determine the identity of Levi Allen's father.
