The kittens are estimated to be about a week old. They should be ready for adoption around September 19th. This gallery will be updated frequently. Return often to see the kittens grow.
August 17--The kittens are now a little more than 2 weeks old. A wobbly walk has replaced the
crawl. They refuse to stay in their carpeted box. I have given up trying to keep them in it.
All three now have their eyes open and seek out their mother when they are hungry.
August 26--Week three of life. The kittens are looking more and more like real kittens. They tentatively
play with each other and are much more mobile. Though not eating their mama's food, I have seen them
standing with their heads almost in the dish while their mother eats.
September 5---At a little over 5 weeks old, the kittens are now VERY mobile. They play with each other and climb on whatever is available to get them to the highest point in the room. True to the feline species! I THINK all three of them are using the litter box, but have only seen two actually in the box. I have found stool away from the box two times in the last week, so I'm thinking these were accidents. The kittens are still nursing frequently, but have sampled their mother's moistened dry food and drunk from her water dish.
September 9...The kittens and their mother have moved to another foster home, from which they will be adopted. I will have the mother back in about a week so the kittens can begin the weaning process. I miss them already.
September 22...Harriet and Hermione will be going to their new family soon. Poor Ron will have to find solitary games until someone decides to make him a part of their family. Minerva was spayed today and will be ready for adoption October 11th, giving her time to recover from the surgery.
November 5---Little Ron has found his forever home! He didn't have to go it alone, either. Hannah, from the Miraculous Seven, went with him. ALL kittens have been placed in their new,(forever), homes! Now, time for their mother, Minerva, to find her very own home. She's a young adult, about 2 years old, and very playful. She enjoys the company of other cats.
