When we turned the first "corner" on the walk, I saw this van pulled into a gravel driveway. The driver got out and told me that he saw the fawn in the street and it ran into the grass and just collapsed. He said he'd been there a couple of minutes and it never moved. When he left, I took a few pictures, petted it, then took Phoenix back home. I was hoping to get shots of its face. By the time I returned in my truck, the fawn was nowhere in sight.
