Judges comments:
There is a very strong creative component to this image - obviously! I would have liked to see the surrounds of the eye 'unzoomed' as the reflections of in focus eyelashes on the iris have no reference point in the surrounds. I think that the middle bird does not work as well as the other two. I really like the perched bird and the way the shadow has been handled.
