I did some curve manipulation and soft light burning of hot spots in the "veins" on a separate 50% grey layer just below the bug's behind. There was no editing of the top left area. It seems to be a combination of narrow depth of field and some ugly jpg compression.

An excellent nature image in which the colours of the bug contrast well with the rich green of the leaf. I would like to have seen some more detail of the darker section of the bug and suggest that maybe you could crop about 50% of space under the leaf, which would also help reduce the effect of the white patch in bottom RH corner. There appears to be some blurring up near the top LH corner and I'm not sure if that is the result of incomplete image editing. MERIT.
