This is a strong example of how less can be more. Just over half of the frame is dominated by the dark tones of the tree, which pulls the viewer’s attention away
from the main focal point. A 1:1 crop would strengthen the story. Using the cockatoo’s body as a strong diagonal from top left to bottom right, and placing the eye
on the upper thirds, would improve the composition and give the subject more presence in the frame. Check the levels and sharpness to ensure detail is retained.
