The photographer has captured a nature story with a nocturnal visit to a waterhole. The animal is well lit by artificial light and there is a nice reflection captured in the water.
Most of the animal is in focus with only the tail blurred by DOF. The background is a deep black showing the limits of the light but this works well in isolating the subject.
The framing works well and gives a comfortable feel to the image. To take the image to the next level would require the animal to engage in an activity with more interest.
