An image of a bird in a flight with the wings and the body forming a cross shape within the image which gives compositional tension. The bird has been placed against a non-distracting
mid-gray background and stands out well. The focus on the bird is a little soft and to compensate for this, the author has used a strong sharpening tool which has left a white halo around much of
the bird. As the bird is generally darker than the background, this should be easy to remove using the clone tool in darken mode on a separate layer and painting from the background to the wings.
