Thames Barrier

Judges Comments

A shot employing repetition to show a series of buildings placed on a river. The image title tells us that these are the Thames barriers. The horizon line has
been placed on the lower third of a panoramic crop and this is appropriate as the clouds in the sky are more interesting than the foreground water. The image feels
slightly underexposed but good detail is visible in the buildings. The buildings are placed in front of a strongly competing background and I'm not sure if there is a
better viewpoint to shoot from as a shallow depth of field would reduce the impact of the repetition in the barriers and would be unhelpful.
