The bird in this image stands out nicely. It has good detail in the body and feathers and the shadows have been lifted on the body, probably in post-processing, in a pleasing way.
The bird has been captured in an active pose with the zigzag patterns of the wings giving energy and menace to the pose. Unfortunately, the blurred background is extremely
distracting and the blown highlights, especially above the top wing draw our eyes strongly away from the focus on the subject. The crop is also possibly a little bit tight above the top of the wing.
