There is a problem with depth of field for this image. I took the liberty to examine the EXIF data for
the image. This shows a Canon 6D camera, with a 200 mm lens, and an aperture of f 5.6. If the lens
was focussed at (say) 3 metres, then the depth of field would be around 70 mm. Assuming the camera
focussed on the front of the stump the bird was sitting on, then two thirds of the DOF would be
behind this, resulting in only 2/3 of 70 mm (around 45 mm) to get the bird in focus.
