I feel like the first thing that hits you here is the very harsh bright light so there's burnt out highlights and very dark
shadows. I'm sure there's probably a story behind these old shoes but for me this hasn’t really told me anything.
I think you need to think more about composition, including angles and placement in the frame and the background.
