This image is monochromatic in approach and confining in feel. The composition uses strong lines and repetition to build suspense as we move through the image to the locked in anonymous figure. It gives the imagination a lot of scope to invent possibilities. That is a good thing. (A very small nit-pick: remove the slight trace of light cobblestone in the lower left. It is distracting.)
