Photographing in the snow is generally considered to be a test of a photographers understanding of exposure
or of their cameras ability to capture an image that is dominated by a very light gray (white).
In this case I will accept that the skill of the author is the main factor in the capture of the image;
whilst there is a small loss of detail in the shadows it is not fatal to the overall value of the image.
