Native Honey Bee & Crepe Myrtle

Judges Comments

This is an extremely difficult shot to get right and you have done well. However some of the petals are blown out; avoiding that
is difficult but necessary. The trick is to experiment with light direction and to use a polarising filter.
Now, what we need is an entry point and resting point. My eye enters the frame at the anther cluster and doesn't really
want to move. The bee is too far from the entry point and simply leads the eye out of the frame. The old
rule of thirds is useful here for placing the bee. That would give a strong diagonal and enhance the image. But great try.
