Mayfield Garden #2

Judges Comments

A delightfuly colourful shot. Let's ask the usual questions ("Where is entry point? Where do we want the eye to finish?
How does it get there?), what volcabulary do we have to work with, how do we put it together so the photo speaks?
When I invert the photo (a good trick) my eye enters at the circular centre "island" and keeps moving around
the circle of water and comes to rest on the boat (perhaps I like boats). So to me this is a photo of a boat on a lake.
Having got there, what does the photo say? I think its an invitation to get lost exploring the labrynth of paths
and waterways or just soak up the delightful fragrance of the flowers. My only other comment would be to
ask whether we can have a cloud or two in the sky as a way of softening the hard skyline. But well done.
