things a little hard for yourself by choosing a tree with a messy background. Get rid of the fence in the background
(or don't include to start with) and brighten up that red earth until it burns. Then work on the tree to see if
you can bring out the texture. That's going to be difficult but it can be done. I think the lesson here is to
think about the final image before the shutter is pressed. What are we wanting the photo to say? What vocabulary
is available. What "nasty vocab" do we want to exclude. And how do we put it all together
so the image speaks. That's the difference between snapshooting and photography.
