At first glance it seems that the horses are running up hill - the white fence in the background acts very much like an horizon line, in this case tilting down to the right.
I am also concerned about the composition. There is a great energy expressed by the front runners: all feet off the ground on one horse and the light being reflected off the sweat of the other.
What disturbs me is how the remaining horses have been obscured and i am left looking at a long line of brown flanks and a dizzying array of legs.
I do like the line of jockeys and overall admire what you were trying to achieve.
